Hi! My name is Eva- my mother named me this because she wanted a strong, feminine name which couldn’t be turned into a nickname. She didn’t want other people to be able to turn my name, or me, into something that was easier or better for them. Although that didn’t last very long, because my friends eventually found endearing nicknames for me, her message stuck. I have strong beliefs, rooted in compassion, strength, faith and love, and I never miss a chance to show these, or to correct my pronunciation- it’s Dutch by the way, so it’s pronounced as an a.
